When I check my designated IK folder on this external SSD, there are two Sampletank folders, one called "Sampletank 4 MAX", and one simply called "Sampletank 4". I'm downloading to an external SSD, and I've somewhat unexpectedly run out of harddrive space earlier than I thought I would. It actually - IK - I've stumbled across an issue while trying to install the Sampletank 4 MAX sounds included in the Total Studio 3.5 MAX package I bought with this deal. At that point the IKPM decided I needed to install Custom shop and then that I needed to install SampleTank4 whether I wanted to or not, then when I declined it got stuck in a loop "But you HAVE to" - "NO!" - "But you HAVE to" until I closed IKPM. I attempted to install the Sound Library and got a message that I had to first open Syntronik2 - the opposite of what I was told to do after the Syntronik2 install! So I did, and waited a while for something to happen in the "Creating Database" screen. After installing Syntronik2 I went to the Sounds area and scrolled down to Syntronik2. I DL'd the IKPM and set the DL path in SETTINGS. Since I'd already installed everything on my primary music computer, I decided to test this whole process (following the IKPM directions) on my second laptop which is NOT used for music apps. As noted above, changing the DL path in the IKPM Settings just defines the location for the backup Zip files. Second, the instructions are as clear as mud. ![]() Someone needs to have a look at the Toontrack product manager.
